Copra Rajapur rises on good demand

Copra Rajapur prices rose at the spices market here today due to good demand from stockists and retailers amid restricted arrivals from producing regions.

Meanwhile, rest of the spices closed at their overnight levels in the absence of necessary buying support. Copra Rajapur Mumbai hardened by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 5,400 from yesterday's closing level of Rs 5,300.

The following are today's closing rates in rupees, with previous rates in brackets:

Black Pepper (per kilo) 170/188 (170/188), ginger bleached (per kilo) 180 (180), ginger unbleached (per kilo) 200 (200), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 3625 (3625), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 3450 (3450), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 5400 (5300) and copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 4300 (4300).
