Copra prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today largely on the back of increased demand from retailers and stockists due to rising demand.

Tight stocks following fall in supplies from growing regions also supported the rise in prices. Copra prices rose by Rs 100 to close at Rs 7,500-7,600 per quintal.

Market analysts said increased demand from retailers and stockists against fall in supplies from growing regions mainly pushed up copra prices in the wholesale dry fruits market here.

Elsewhere, prices of other dry fruits ruled steady on scattered deals.
