Crude oil down by 0.2% on weak Asian cues

Speculators trimmed positions amid a weakening trend

Crude oil futures today fell by Rs 11, or 0.16%, to Rs 6,739 per barrel as speculators trimmed positions amid a weakening trend in the Asian trade.
     
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in October fell by Rs 11, or 0.16%, to Rs 6,739 per barrel in 98 lots.
 
Similarly, the oil for September delivery moved down by Rs 7, or 0.10%, to Rs 6,738 per barrel in 1,225 lots.

Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate crude prices for delivery in October was down 2 cents to $103.83 a barrel in mid-morning trade on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
