Crude oil futures for April fell by Rs 19 or 0.35%, to Rs 5,180 per barrel in 7,906 lots.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the May contract moved down by Rs 18, or 0.34%, to Rs 5,222 per barrel in 526 lots.
Prices fell as speculators trimmed positions.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), the May contract shed 4 cents to $94.41 a barrel.
