Crude palm oil prices fell by Rs 4.60 per kg in futures trade today on sustained selling by speculators at prevailing higher prices.
Trading sentiments remained bearish as palm oil futures in Malaysia traded moderately lower on poor demand for the commodity among biofuel producers.
Crude palm oil for delivery in May fell by Rs 4.60, or 0.90%, to Rs 506 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 38 lots.
Likewise, crude palm oil prices for delivery in June declined by Rs 4.60, or 0.89 per cent, to Rs 504 per 10 kg, with a trading volume of 20 lots.
The oil for delivery in April also eased by Rs 4.20, or 0.82 per cent, to Rs 509.90 per 10 kg, with a trading volume of 46 lots.
