Crude palm oil prices rose by Rs 3 to Rs 522.50 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators created fresh positions on the back of a rise in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in April rose by Rs 3, or 0.58%, to Rs 522.50 per 10 kg, with an open interest of a single lot.
The May contract edged up by Rs 2.30, or 0.44%, to Rs 519.50 per 10 kg, with a business turnover of four lots.
Analysts said fresh buying by speculators on the back of pick-up in demand in the spot markets mainly pushed up crude palm oil futures prices.
