Amid pick up in the spot market demand, crude palm oil prices gained Rs 2.90 to Rs 623.30 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged their positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the April contract gained Rs 2.90, or 0.47%, to Rs 623.30 per 10 kg, with a business turnover of 238 lots.
The May delivery edged up by Rs 2.80, or 0.45%, to Rs 628.50 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 811 lots.
Analysts said increased buying by speculators on the back of rise in spot market demand against restricted arrivals from producing belt mainly supported the upside in crude palm oil futures remain higher.
