Crude palm oil prices were up by 0.43 per cent to Rs 424.40 per 10 kg in futures trade today as traders created speculative positions after pick up in demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in October edged up by Rs 1.80, or 0.43 per cent, to Rs 424.40 per 10 kg, in a business turnover of 293 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in November traded higher by Rs 1.60, or 0.38 per cent, to Rs 426.80 per 10 kg in 133 lots.
Analysts said speculative positions built-up by participants supported by pick-up in demand in the spot market, mainly led to rise in crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
