Crude palm oil prices rose by 1.17% to Rs 501 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions on the back of rising demand in spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for August delivery rose by Rs 5.80, or 1.17%, to Rs 501 per 10 kg, with a trading volume of 379 lots.

Similarly, palm oil for delivery in July moved up by Rs 5.20, or 1.04%, to Rs 503.90 per 10 kg, with a business turnover of 300 lots.
