Deepak Fertilisers shares surged 18.57 per cent to close at Rs 103.10 after the company posted a net profit of Rs 39.63 crore in the fourth quarter of 2008-09. The stock opened at Rs 87.90 and went to a high of Rs 104.10 and a low of Rs 87.10 during intra-day trading.
A total of 138,9031 shares of Deepak Fertilisers were traded at the BSE. The scrip has climbed up 56.33 per cent since last one month and 49.42 per cent since last week. The company is into production of ammonia, concentrated nitric acid, ammonium nitrate and diluted nitric acid.
