DLF has rallied 9% to Rs 116.45 on the BSE, after the real estate developer said that its promoters have bought over two million shares of the company through open market transactions for nearly Rs 25 crore.
“On November 23 and 24, 2015, Ms. Kavita Singh has purchased 2.3 million shares representing 0.13% stake of the company through open market,” DLF said in a filing.
Post acquisition, the promoters holding in the company increased to 74.99% from 74.86%, it added.
At 01:11 PM, the stock was up 8% at Rs 115 on the BSE. The trading volumes on the counter almost doubled with a combined 21.03 million shares changed hands on the BSE and NSE.
