DLF slips 4%; Grasim up 1.5%

DLF has tumbled over 4% at Rs 490. Ranbaxy has plunged 3.3% to Rs 542.

Ambuja Cements has declined 2.4% to Rs 86. Jaiprakash Associates has slipped 2.3% to Rs 179, while HDFC Bank has dropped 2.2% at Rs 1,158.

NTPC, HDFC and BHEL have lost 1.9% each to Rs 162, Rs 2,146 and Rs 1,454, respectively.

Reliance has shed 1.6% at Rs 2,224. Infosys, ICICI Bank and Larsen & Toubro are down 1% each to Rs 1,870, Rs 733 and Rs 2,624, respectively.

Tata Steel, ONGC and ACC are the major losers.

Grasim has gained 1.5% to Rs 2,225. Mahindra & Mahindra has advanced 1.4% to Rs 582.

Wipro is has added 1% at Rs 478. Reliance Infrastructure has inched up 0.8% at Rs 1,030.

Tata Motors and Bharti Airtel are up 0.5% each at Rs 508 and Rs 810, respectively.

The markets breadth is negative - out of 2,539 stocks traded so far, 1,409 have declined, 1,049 have advanced and 81 are unchanged.
