The Sensex continues to drift deeper into red and is now down 317 points at 9,107.
DLF has slumped 13% to Rs 154, and Jaiprakash Associates has tumbled 9.5% to Rs 69. Reliance Infrastructure has plunged 7.8% to Rs 537.
HDFC has shed 6.8% at Rs 1,433, and Hindalco has dropped 6.5% to Rs 46.
Tata Steel has slipped 6% to Rs 174. ICICI Bank and Tata Motors have declined around 5.5% each to Rs 394 and Rs 142, respectively.
Wipro and HDFC Bank are down 4.5% each at Rs 221 and Rs 883, respectively.
The market breadth is negative - out of 2,371 stocks traded so far, 1,376 have declined, 898 have advanced and 97 are unchanged.
