The agriculture ministry has asked finance ministry to raise import duty on refined, bleached and deodorised (RBD) palm oil from the present 70 per cent to 85 per cent and also reimpose the special additional duty (SAD) that was abolished recently.
Agriculture minister Rajnath Singh has written to finance minister Jaswant Singh in this regard, it is learnt.
