Fertiliser stocks in limelight

 Infosys is down 1.18% (Rs 26) at Rs 2,158, while Wipro has shed 1.83% (Rs 13) to Rs 694.

 ITC has inched lower by a per cent (Rs 7) to Rs 1,298, while Reliance is down a tad at Rs 535. HLL is still up a per cent (Rs 2) at Rs 145.

 ONGC is up a per cent (Rs 7) at Rs 813.

 SBI is trading a per cent lower (Rs 6) at Rs 658. HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank, too, are down a per cent each at Rs 557 (down Rs 3) and Rs 371 (down Rs 4), respectively.

 Hero Honda has declined 2.92% (Rs 16) to Rs 533, and Bajaj has shed 1.32% (Rs 14) to Rs 1,032. While Tata Motors is down a per cent (Rs 5) at Rs 487, Maruti is up Rs 2 at Rs 473.

 Hindalco at Rs 1,352 (down Rs 33 or 2.37%) continues to trade with steep losses. Bharti is down 1.84% (Rs 4) at Rs 211.

 Fertiliser stocks have attracted buying in a bearish market. FACT has spurted 6.58% to Rs 32, while RCF has soared 5.61% to Rs 40. Chambal Fertilisers has gained 3.66% to Rs 33, and Indo Gulf Fertilisers has added 2.53% to Rs 130.

 Ispat is the leading the volume table with over 39.46 lakh shares traded on the BSE, followed by Sail with a volume of over 26.64 lakh and Escorts at 23.44 lakh shares traded.
