In the same period, the NSE-50 Index showed a comparatively lower gain of 18.15 per cent. Similarly, the Dollex-30 index, which tracks the benchmark Sensex index of BSE, gave a return of about 25 per cent for the same period while the Sensex rose by 15.76 per cent this quarter.
The Defty index of the NSE rose by 17 per cent from January this year compared with a lower 7.13 per cent for the local currency underlying NSE-50. Similarly, the Dollex-30 of BSE gained by 13.71 per cent this calendar year compared with a much lower return of 4.05 per cent for the Sensex.
