US markets ended mixed yesterday on dissapointing housing data, on the one hand, and rise in technology shares, on the other.
The Dow slipped 29 points to 8,475 on dissapointing housing data and a fall in financial shares. The Nasdaq, however, was flat at 1,735 as technology shares rose following Hewlett Packard reporting good numbers.
Indian ADRs posted significant losses.
Patni Computers plunged 9% to $8.81. Satyam tumbled 8.5% to $1.96. Infosys and MTNL slumped 5% each to $3.02 and $3.44, respectively.
HDFC Bank shed 4% at $91.77. Sterlite and Dr Reddy's dropped 3% each to $11.18 and $12.4, respectively.
Wipro, Tata Communications and Tata Motors were the other losers.
