Most steel stocks have seen positive movement in the last three months. Steel Authority of India (SAIL) has seen an appreciation of 2.2 per cent in the last three months and ended the day today at Rs 9.25 as against its close of Rs 9.05 at the beginning of December.
Jindal Iron which ended the day today at Rs 73.25, has appreciated by 36.27 per cent in the last three months against its close of Rs 53.75 at the beginning of December.
Jindal Strips up by 17.39 per cent, ended the day today at Rs 144.45 against its close of Rs 123.05 at the beginning of December while Jindal Steel which ended the day today at Rs 335.15, is up by over 9 per cent from its close of Rs 305.45 from the beginning of December

Among some stocks that have seen a fall in the last three months are Essar Steel and TISCO.
Essar Steel which has fallen by 19.10 per cent, ended the day today at Rs 7.20 against its close of Rs 8.90 at the beginning of December 2002.
TISCO which ended at Rs 137.50, is down by 1.04 per cent from its close of Rs 138.95 from the beginning of December 2002.
