The Smart Portfolios benchmark value now stands at Rs 11.23 lakh, up 12.31 per cent since its inception on September 1, 2009. Ajay Parmar and Amar Ambani continue to beat the benchmark by a wide margin with gains of 30.72 and 29.65 per cent, respectively, at Rs 13.07 lakh and Rs 12.96 lakh each. Phani Sekhar, who joined a fortnight later, and Vinay Khattar, who replaced Praveen Panjwani, have logged 11.61 per cent and 11.76 per cent gains each at Rs 11.16 lakh and Rs 11.18 lakh, respectively.

Phani Sekhar executed a single trade, through which he exited from Mindtree for a gain of 13.5 per cent. Following this his cash levels rose to Rs 63,000 from Rs 2,000 earlier. Sekhar now holds 14 stocks in his portfolio. eClerx up nearly 55 per cent from his cost price is the top performer followed by Axis Bank and Esab India. Reliance Infrastructure with a loss of 15 per cent is the major laggard followed by Bharti Airtel and 3i InfoTech. His net worth declined by marginal 0.09 per cent in the week under review.
