Post-Diwali, the markets exhibited volatile movements and ended on a weak note as compared to the previous week. The benchmark S&P CNX 500 index net worth declined more than 1 per cent to Rs 11.28 lakh from Rs 11.40 lakh.

Among the fund managers, Siddarth Bhamre and Shishir Bajpai were in the sell mode, while Vinay Khattar was a marginal net buyer. Cumulatively, the fund managers were net sellers of stocks worth Rs 1.98 lakh in the week under review. Ajay Parmar preferred to stay away from the markets last week.

Ajay Parmar remained on the sidelines last week. His net worth rose from Rs 11.25 lakh to Rs 11.59 lakh. Of the top-5 stocks in his portfolio, Unichem Laboratories, Chambal Fertilisers and India Glycols were up in the range of 24-37 per cent. The other two stocks — Natco Pharma and eClerx Services — were up 14-15 per cent. On a week-on-week basis, his portfolio saw a gain of 3 per cent.

Siddarth Bhamre executed 13 trades, four of which were on the sell side. He was the biggest seller among the fund managers, with net sales of Rs 1.62 lakh. He booked gains in the range of 5-9 per cent on his investments in Indiabulls Securities, Praj Industries, Financial Technologies, Balrampur Chini Mills and Exide Industries. CESC, Great Offshore and Mcleod Russel India are the top gainers in his portfolio.

On the other hand, Hindustan Construction Company and MphasiS are the prominent laggards. His net worth is up 8.89 per cent at Rs 10.89 lakh.

On the other hand, he incurred a loss of 11 per cent in stocks such as Donear Industries and Apar Industries. Meanwhile, he has added 3i Infotech, Jayaswal Neco Industries, TVS Motor Company and Sintex Industries to his portfolio.

He is fully invested and his net worth stands at Rs 10.95 lakh, up 9.54 per cent.
