The Sensex touched a high of 15,177 and is now at 15,117, up 372 points.
TCS has soared 16% to Rs 503. Wipro has rallied 9% to Rs 469. Infosys has surged 6% to Rs 1,975.
Reliance has gained 4.5% at Rs 2,023. ICICI Bank, Jaiprakash Associates, DLF and Sterlite have moved up 3% each.
Mahindra & Mahindra, Larsen & Toubro, Bharti Airtel, ACC, Tata Motors, HDFC Bank, Hindalco, Tata Power and SBI have added over 2% each.
Meanwhile, Reliance Infrastructure has slipped 2% to Rs 1,129. ITC and Reliance Communications have dropped 1.5% each.
Tata Steel and Hindustan Unilever are also down.
The market breadth is fairly positive. out of 2,627 stocks traded, 1,735 have advanced while 820 have declined.
