Shares of Gayatri Projects have moved higher by 9% to Rs 450 on the BSE after the company announced that it has received new orders worth Rs 3,318 crore from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
“The company received orders of Rs 1,526 crore for development of four-lane Ghaghra Bridge to Varanasi section of NH-233 in the state of Uttar Pradesh under the National Highways Development Project (NHDP) Phase – IV on engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) mode,” Gayatri Projects said in a BSE filing.
The company received another set of orders amounting to Rs 1,792 crore for development of four-lane Sultanpur to Varanasi section of NH-56 on EPC mode, Gayatri Projects added.
Gayatri Projects is a Hyderabad-based infrastructure and construction company with a presence across the segment, primarily undertaking road and irrigation projects.
At 10:38 AM, the stock was up 7% at Rs 442 on the BSE. A combined 132,621 shares changed hands on the counter on the BSE and NSE.
