Geometric has rallied 6% to Rs 191 on the BSE in otherwise weak market after the company declared interim dividend of 150% for the current fiscal.

The board of directors of the company at its meeting held on March 15, 2016, have considered and declared interim dividend for the financial year 2015-16 at a rate of 150% (i.e. of Rs 3 per equity share) on the face value of Rs 2 per equity share, Geometric said in a statement.

The interim dividend shall be payable on and from March 30, 2016, it added.

Geometric said, 3D PLM Software Solutions Ltd., a material Indian subsidiary of the company, has declared the second interim dividend for the financial year 2015-16 on March 14, 2016 and consequently the Company will receive an aggregate of Rs 13.23 crore as second interim dividend from 3D PLM Software Solutions Ltd.

3D PLM Software Solutions had declared its first interim dividend for the financial year 2015-16 on July 15, 2015 and the company had received an aggregate amount of Rs 22.51 crore as the first interim dividend from 3D PLM Software Solutions Ltd.

Till 09:58 AM, a combined 1.09 million equity shares changed hands against an average sub one million shares that were traded daily in past two weeks on the BSE and NSE. The S&P BSE Sensex was down 0.28% or 70 points at 24,481.
