Gold futures prices today fell by 0.23% to Rs 31,182 per 10 grams as speculators taking weak cues from overseas reduced their positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the April contract was down by Rs 72, or 0.23%, to Rs 31,182 per 10 gram in a business turnover of 57 lots.
Similarly, the February contract fell by Rs 69, or 0.22%, to Rs 30,754 per 10 grams in 1,178 lots.
Market analysts say weak overseas trend influenced the price.
Meanwhile, gold fell $ 1.10 to $ 1,661.80 an ounce in Singapore.
