Gram, dal rise on retailers demand

In restricted activity, gram and its dal prices rose up to Rs 50 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on retailers demand. Marketmen said pick up in retailers demand mainly pushed up gram and its dal prices at the wholesale market.

In the national capital, gram rose by Rs 25 to Rs 2,175- 2,250 while its dal local gained Rs 50 to Rs 2,500-2,525 per quintal.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Urad 5,450-6,000, Urad chilka (local) 6,700-7,100, best 7,400-7,700, Dhoya 7,400-7,500, Moong Maharashtra 6,600-6,900, Dal moong chilka local 7,300-7,700, Moong Dhoya local 7,500-7,700 and best quality 8,100-8,300.

Masoor small 3,300-3,500, bold 3,500-3,750, Dal Masoor local 4,000-4,100, best quality 4,300-4,600, Malka local 4,100-4,150, best 4,250-4,350, Moth 5,900-6,200, Arhar 4,800-4,900, dal arhar dara 5,750-6,150.

Gram 2,175-2,250, gram dal (local) 2,500-2,525, best quality 2,650-2,750, besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,050, Rajdhani 1,050, Rajmah chitra Pune 3,500-4,100, China 3,600- 4,100, red 3,500-3,600, kabli gram small 3,000-4,200, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,500-4,900, lobia 3,700-3,800, peas white 1,600- 1,700 and green 1,800-2,000.
