Gram, its dal ease on sluggish demand

Gram and its dal prices fell by Rs 50 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today owing to slackness in demand against adequate stocks.

Traders said sluggish demand against adequate stocks mainly led to a decline in wholesale gram and its dal prices.

In the national capital, gram and its dal local variety declined by Rs 50 each to Rs 2,450-2,475 and Rs 2,715-2,730 per quintal.    

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Urad 3,700-4,250, Urad chilka (local) 4,500-4,900, best 5,000-5,300, Dhoya 5,200-5,300, Moong 4,050-4,450, Dal moong chilka local 4,900-5,300, Moong Dhoya local 5,350-5,550 and best quality 5,850-6,050

Masoor small 3,000-3,200, bold 3,200-3,450, Dal Masoor local 3,800-3,900, best quality 4,050-4,350, Malka local 3,800-3,850, best 3,950-4,050, Moth 3,900-4,200, Arhar 3,300- 3,400, dal arhar dara 4,400-4,800
