Gram, its dal strengthen in thin trade

In thin trade, prices of gram and its dal strengthened further by Rs 25 per quintal on the wholesale grains market today on pick up in demand, amid fall in arrivals.

Pick up in retailers demand against less arrivals from producing region, helped gram and its dal prices to strengthen, traders said.

In the national capital, gram added another Rs 25 to Rs 2,525-2,550, while its dal local and best quality were edged up by the same margin to Rs 2,825-2,840 and Rs 2,925-3,025 per quintal.

Urad 4,100-4,650, Urad chilka (local) 4,900-5,300, best 5,400-5,700, Dhoya 5,600-5,700, Moong 4,000-4,400, Dal moong chilka local 4,850-5,250, Moong Dhoya local 5,100-5,300 and best quality 5,600-5,800
