Gram, its dal turns weak on lack of support

Barring a fall in gram and its dal due to lack of buying support, other commodities prices remained steady in the wholesale pulses market today.  

Market analysts said lack of buying support at prevailing higher levels mainly led to fall in gram and its dal prices.

In the national capital, gram declined by by Rs 25 to Rs 2,400-2,425, while its dal local and best quality were traded lower by Rs 50 each to Rs 2,750-2,765 and Rs 2,850-2,950 per quintal, respectively.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:  

Urad 4,000-4,400, Urad chilka (local) 4,900-5,300, best 5,400-5,900, Dhoya 5,350-5,450, Moong 4,075-5,075, Dal moong chilka local 5,100-5,500, Moong Dhoya local 5,400-5,600 and best quality 6,000-6,200

Masoor small 3,000-3,200, bold 3,150-3,400, Dal Masoor local 3,550-3,650, best quality 3,850-4,150, Malka local 3,500-3,550, best 3,650-3,750, Moth 1,850-2,150, Arhar 3,400-3,900, dal arhar dara 5,000-5,400
