Gram, its dal up on fresh buying support

Barring a rise in gram and its dal on stockists buying, other commodities generally ruled steady on the wholesale pulses market today.

Traders said fresh buying by stockists on pick up in retailers demand mainly pushed up gram and its dal prices. 

In the national capital, gram surged by Rs 150 to Rs 2,675-2,700, while its dal local and best quality traded higher by Rs 100 each to Rs 2,925-2,940 and Rs 3,025-3,125 per quintal, respectively.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Urad 4,300-4,850, Urad chilka (local) 5,100-5,500, best 5,550-5,850, Dhoya 5,700-5,800, Moong 4,250-4,650, Dal moong chilka local 5,150-5,550, Moong Dhoya local 5,400-5,600 and best quality 5,900-6,100
