Gram, kabli gram declines on sluggish demand

Prices of gram and kabli gram prices declined up to Rs 50 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today owing to slackened demand against increased arrivals from producing regions.

Elsewhere, other commodities held steady on little doing.

Traders said subdued demand mainly led to a fall in wholesale gram and kabli gram prices.
    
Gram and its dal local variety lost Rs 20 each to Rs 2,400-2,425 and Rs 2,675-2,700 per quintal, respectively.
    
Kabli gram also declined by Rs 50 to Rs 4,200-5,400 per quintal.
    
Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:
    
Urad 4,000-4,550, Urad chilka (local) 4,800-5,200, best 5,400-5,700, Dhoya 5,500-5,600, Moong 4,050-4,450, Dal moong chilka local 4,850-5,250, Moong Dhoya local 5,400-5,600 and best quality 6,000-6,200.
    
Masoor small 3,000-3,200, bold 3,200-3,450, Dal Masoor local 3,800-3,900, best quality 4,100-4,400, Malka local 3,900-3,950, best 4,050-4,150, Moth 4,500-4,800, Arhar 3,600-3,700, dal arhar dara 4,600-5,000.
    
Gram 2,400-2,425, gram dal (local) 2,675-2,700, best quality 2,750-2,850, besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,050, Rajdhani 1,050, Rajmah chitra Pune 3,700-4,300, China 3,800-4,300, red 3,600-3,700, kabli gram small 4,200-5,400, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100, lobia 3,700-3,800, peas white 1,950-2,050 and green 2,150-2,350.
