Groundnut oil prices moved up moderately at the oils and oilseeds market here today due to renewed demand from stockists and retailers on the back of restricted arrivals.
On the other hand, refined palmolein declined on reduced offtake from traders amidst adequate supplies.
Castorseed bold and castoroil commercial dropped further owing to lack of enquiries from shippers and soap industries.
Meanwhile, castorseed futures surged on good export orders.
In the edible oil segment, groundnut oil rose by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 770 from yesterday's closing level of Rs 765.
While refined palmolein fell by Rs 6 per 10 kg to Rs 560 as against Rs 566 previously.
Turning to non-edible segment, Castorseeds bold slid another Rs 50 per 100 kgs to Rs 4,250 from Tuesday' closing level Rs 4,300 and castoroil commercial slipped by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 880 as against Rs 890 yesterday.
Linseedoil ended stable at Rs 630 per 10 kg.
Moving to futures section, castorseeds March delivery resumed higher at Rs 3,461, and rallied further to close at Rs 3,489 from Rs 3,446 previously, showing a smart gain of Rs 43 per tonne.
