Guargum prices fell by Rs 113 to Rs 10,148 per quintal in futures trade today due to renewed selling by speculators in line with weak a domestic and overseas markets sentiment.
Market analysts said traders indulged in off-loading their holdings on the back of a weak domestic and global spot markets trend.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guargum for delivery in June dipped by Rs 113, or 1.10% to Rs 10,148 per quintal, with a trade volume of 14,955 lots.
Guargum prices for July delivery also went down by Rs 114, or 1.09% to Rs 10,375 per quintal, with an open interest of 44,275 lots.
