Guarseed prices fell by Rs 105 to Rs 4,597 per quintal in futures trade today following renewed selling by traders in line with weak spot markets sentiment.

Marketmen said increased supply along with sluggish demand at existing higher levels in the physical markets, mainly put pressure on guarseed futures prices.

Fall in export demand also pulled down the trading sentiment to some extent, they added.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, October guarseed tumbled by Rs 105, or 2.23%, to Rs 4,597 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,27,890 lots.

The March contract lost Rs 124, or 2.86%, to Rs 4,215 per quintal, with an open interest of 370 lots.

Likewise, guarseed prices for November delivery shed Rs 73, or 1.72%, to Rs 4,164 per quintal, with an open interest of 74,490 lots.
