Guarseed prices dropped by Rs 10 to Rs 3,090 per quintal in futures trading today, due to selling pressure at higher levels against ample supply in spot market.

Market analysts said weak spot sentiments following adequate supply advised traders to book profits at existing higher levels.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guarseed prices for delivery in May slipped by Rs 10, or 0.32 per cent, to Rs 3,090 per quintal, with an open interest of 2,460 lots.

Likewise, prices for March contract went down by Rs 5, or 0.17 per cent, to Rs 2,977 per quintal, with a business turnover of 1,70,580 lots.
