Guarseed futures weakens on continuous selling

Guarseed prices declined by Rs 28, or 1.33 per cent, to Rs 2,084 per quintal in futures trade today on continuous selling by traders at existing higher levels.

Marketmen said traders preferred to offload their holdings at prevailing higher levels, triggered by a weak spot market sentiment.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange platform, guarseed prices for November-month contract slipped further by Rs 28, or 1.33 per cent, to Rs 2,084 per quintal, with an open interest of 20,720 lots.

Current September-month contract too eased by Rs 23, or 1.11 per cent, to Rs 2,054 per quintal, with an open interest of 78,710 lots, while the most-active October month contract fell by Rs 26, or 1.24 per cent, to Rs 2,073 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,77,970 lots.
