Gur closes quiet in thin trade

The wholesale jaggery market showed a quiet tendency in the national capital today as prices maintained last closing levels on restricted buying.

Muzffarnagar and Muradnagar gur market too ended on last levels in thin trade.

Market analysts said sporadic buying activities against restricted supply mainly kept prices unaltered.

Following were today's quotations per quintal:

Chakku Rs 2,700-2,800, pedi Rs 2,900-3,000, Dhayya Rs 3,100-3,200, and Shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200.

Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 2,200-2,300, chakku Rs 2,375-2,550 and Khurpa N.T.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,700-2,750.
