The wholesale gur (jaggery) market ended on a quiet note in the national capital today following small buying support against restricted demand.
However, gur chakku in muzaffarnagar and gur pedi in Muradnagar dropped by Rs 50 per quintal due to sluggish demand.
Market analysts said slackness in demand, amid increased supply, pulled down gur chakku and pedi prices in upcountry markets.
In Muzaffarnagar, gur chakku dropped from Rs 2,100-2,250 to end at Rs 2,050-2,250 per quintal, while gur pedi in Muradnagar slipped from Rs 2,050-2,100 to Rs 2,000-2,050 per quintal.

Chakku Rs 2,300-2,350, pedi 2,300-2,350, Dhayya Rs 2,350 -2,400 and Shakkar Rs 2,550-2,600
Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,750-1,850, chakku Rs 2,050- 2,250 and Khurpa Rs 2,000-2,050
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,000-2,050 and Dhaya Rs 2,100-2,125
