Gur ends flat, gur dhayya fell in Muradnagar

Gur prices ended on a quiet note in the wholesale jaggery market today as prices moved both ways on alternate small bouts of trading and settled at last levels. 

On the other hand, gur dhayya prices in Muradnagar fell by Rs 50 per quintal on sluggish demand, while Muzaffarnagar market ended flat.

Market analysts said ample supply along with slackness in demand mainly pulled down gur dhayya prices.

In Muradnagar, gur dhayya dropped from Rs 2,700-2,750 to Rs 2,650-2,700 per quintal.

Following were today's quotations per quintal:

Chakku Rs 2,700-2,800, pedi Rs 2,900-3,000, Dhayya Rs 3,100-3,200, and Shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200
Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 2,200-2,300, chakku Rs 2,325-2,500 and Khurpa N.T
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,650-2,700 and Dhaya Rs NA
