Gur ends flat in thin trade

The wholesale jaggery market ended on a flat note today, as gur prices moved in a narrow range in restricted trading activity against adequate stocks and ended at last levels.

Marketmen said restricted buying against adequate supply mainly kept gur prices steady.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:
Chakku Rs 2,400-2,450, pedi 2,500-2,550 Dhayya Rs 2,600-2,650 and Shakkar Rs 2,500-2,600
In Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,850-1,900 chakku Rs 2,075-2,250 and Khurpa Rs 1,975-2,000
In Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,300-2,350 and Dhaya Rs 2,300-2,350
