Gur ends flat in thin trade

The wholesale gur (jaggery) prices ended on a steady note in the national capital today following restricted arrivals against small buying activities.

Prices in Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur market also hovered around previous levels in the absence of buying support.  

Market analysts said adequate stocks position against restricted buying, mainly held gur prices unaltered. 

Following were today's quotations in Rs per quintal.

Chakku Rs 2,400-2,450, pedi 2,550-2,600, Dhayya Rs 2,600-2,650 and Shakkar Rs 2,700-2,800
In Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,850-1,925, chakku Rs 2,300-2,400 and Khurpa Rs 2,150-2,200
In Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,250-2,300 and Dhaya Rs 2,300-2,350
