Gur ends flat in thin trade

Steady conditions persisted on the wholesale gur (jaggery) market at the national capital today, with prices by and large moving in narrow range on scattered deals and settled at previous levels.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also ended flat on some support.

Market analysts said adequate stocks position against small buying support, mainly held gur prices unaltered.

Following were today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Chakku Rs 2,200-2,250, pedi Rs 2,200-2,250, Dhayya Rs 2,250-2,300 and Shakkar Rs 2,400-2,450
Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,750-1,850, chakku Rs 2,000-2,200 and Khurpa Rs 1,950-2,000
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,000-2,050 and Dhaya Rs 2,000-2,050
