Gur ends quiet on little doing

There was no change in the pattern of trading in the wholesale jaggery market today as prices moved in a limited range on alternate bouts of trading and ended at last levels.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur market also ruled flat in thin trade. Market analysts said ample stocks and sporadic demand largely kept prices unmoved.

Following were today's quotations per quintal:

Chakku Rs 2,750-2,850, pedi Rs 2,900-3,000, Dhayya Rs 3,100-3,200, and Shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200
Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 2,200-2,300, chakku Rs 2,325-2,500 and Khurpa N.T
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,650-2,700 and Dhaya Rs NA
