Gur ends quiet on thin trade

Dull conditions persisted in the wholesale gur (jaggery) market as prices continued to be on previous closing levels on little buying interest.

Muzzafarnagar and Muradnagar gur market also finished on last levels on some support. Marketmen said reduced arrivals and sporadic offtake, contributed to the flat trend in gur prices.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Chakku Rs 2,900-3,000, Pedi Rs 2,900-3,000 and Dhayya 3,050-3,100, shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200.

In Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 2,075-2,125, chakku Rs 2,500-2,700 and Khurpa N.T.

In Muradnagar: Pedi 2,700-2,750 and Dhaya 2,750-2,800. PTI SDG RS MR 06021606  NNNN
