Gur ends steady in thin trade

The wholesale gur (Jaggery) prices finished on a steady note in the national capital today as the prices, after moving both way's on alternate bouts of buying and selling, settled at previous levels.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur market also ruled flat in thin trade.

Market analysts said ample stocks position and sporadic demand largely kept prices unchanged.

Following were today's quotations per quintal:
    
Chakku Rs 2,200-2,250, pedi Rs 2,350-2,400, Dhayya Rs 2,400-2,450, and Shakkar Rs 2,600-2,650.
    
Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,875-1,925, chakku Rs 1,950-2,200 and Khurpa Rs 1,950-2,000.
    
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,100-2,150 and Dhaya Rs 2,150-2,200.
