Gur ends steady on thin trade

There was no change in the pattern of trading in wholesale gur (jaggery) market today as prices moved in a tight range in the absence of worthwhile activity and settled at previous levels in the national capital today.

Market analysts said ample stocks and sporadic demand mainly kept prices unchanged. 

Following were today's quotations per quintal:

Chakku Rs 2,350-2,400, pedi Rs 2,550-2,600, Dhayya Rs 2,650-2,700, and Shakkar Rs 2,700-2,800
Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,900-2,000, chakku Rs 2,050-2,250 and Khurpa Rs 2,100-2,150
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,250-2,350 and Dhaya Rs 2,500-2,550
