Gur shakkar prices declined by Rs 50 per quintal today following increased arrivals along with slackness in demand.

Muzaffarnagar gur market also remained subdued due to sluggish demand and better supply.  

In Delhi, gur shakkar prices softened from Rs 2,500-2,550 to Rs 2,450-2,500 per quintal.   

At Muzaffarnagar, gur chaku and khurpa prices slipped from Rs 2,050-2,250 and Rs 1,975-2,000 to Rs 2,000-2,200 and Rs 1,950-2,000 per quintal, respectively.

Gur raskat prices also went down from Rs 1,750-1,850 to end at Rs 1,700-1,800 on poor offtake by alcohol making industries.

Following were today's quotations in Rs per quintal.

Chakku Rs 2,250-2,300, pedi 2,250-2,300, Dhayya Rs 2,300 -2,350 and Shakkar Rs 2,450-2,500
Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,700-1,800, chakku Rs 2,000- 2,200 and Khurpa Rs 1,950-2,000
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,000-2,050 and Dhaya Rs 2,050-2,100
