Gur prices declined by Rs 8.50 to Rs 1,017 per 40 kg in futures trading today as traders preferred to off-load positions tracking lower spot markets sentiment.
Reports of higher sugar-cane production this year further influenced the market activity in futures trade.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, gur prices for delivery in September declined by Rs 8.50, or 0.83%, to Rs 1,017 per 40 kg, with an open interest of 8,610 lots.
The November contract shed Rs 7, or 0.74% to Rs 944, with an open interest of 760 lots.
