Gur futures improve on fresh buying

Gur futures prices recovered by Rs 11.40 to Rs 951.60 per 40 kg today, following low levels of buying on the back of higher spot markets sentiment.

Marketmen said, traders were enlarging positions at persisting lower levels, amid pick up in demand in physical markets, pushed up the gur futures prices.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, gur prices for current November contract rose by Rs 11.40, or 1.21 per cent to Rs 951.60 per 40 kg, with an open interest of 11,090 lots.
    
Delivery for the March contract also hardened by same margins of Rs 11.40, or 1.18 per cent to Rs 980 per 40 kg, with an open interest of 1,710 lots.
    
While, December month contract gained by Rs 9.20, or 0.98 per cent to Rs 952 per 40 kg, with an open interest of 16,110 lots.
