Gur prices gained by Rs 7.50 to Rs 987 per 40 kg in futures trading today on increased buying by traders and a firming trend in spot market.
Marketmen said less arrivals in spot markets, led to a rise here in futures price of gur.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange platform, gur prices for January contract moved up by Rs 7.50 or 0.77 per cent to Rs 987 per quintal, with an open interest of 11,320 lots.
The March-month contract also moved up by Rs 7 or 0.66 per cent to Rs 1,064 per quintal, with an open interest of 15,570 lots.
