Gur prices hardened by Rs 50 per quintal in the national capital today on increased buying by traders against restricted supply.
Marketmen said restricted arrivals of new stocks in markets failed to match the festival demand and quoted higher.
Muzzafarnagar and Muradnagar gur market also remained in positive zone on better offtake.
In Delhi, gur chakku rose to settle at Rs 3,000-3,100 per quintal, while new gur dhayya quoted at Rs 3,150-3,200 per quintal.
Shakkar got available in the market after a long gap and prices quoted at Rs 3,200-3,300 per quintal.
At Muzzafarnagar, gur chakku finished higher at Rs 2,925-3,000 per quintal, and khurpa ended at Rs 2,650-2,700 from Rs 2,600-2,700 per quintal.
